The Truth About Salvation
The Circumcision Made Without Hands
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: There was a putting off of the body. The soul put off the body of sins by the circumcision not made with hands, by the workmanship of the Father.
Tried, Tested and Manifested
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
“The life which I live in the flesh”, implies ‘a walk’ which includes deeds, actions, feelings and thinking. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives or walks this walk through me. In other words, the life you see me living, I live by the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is His walk, His commitment to God, His purpose and His righteousness I have given myself over to. Now this takes us back to the prayer Jesus prayed in John’s gospel when He asked the Father to make us one as they are one.
Grace and Mercy
Mercy for the Sons of God
After being reminded of this the Lord said to me, “Mercy in the lives of the sons of God is the right to continue in Christ.” This mercy is for those who have not sinned against God or man in their walk of faith. It is the willingness of God for them to continue in Christ without presumption. Mercy is the right to continue in Christ! Upon hearing this, the Bible opened before me, and I was able to connect the dots in the scriptures. When God says, the right to continue in Christ, He is referring to the right to the life, ministry, power, strength and the authority of Christ. Hebrews 5:1-4
Mercy and Faith
I want us to consider that the Father knew the end before He started the beginning. That means he knew beforehand that man would sin against him. Yet he made him anyway. He wanted something that he refused to deny himself of. He wanted to be loved. He went through great lengths to achieve the type of love that would satisfy him. It had to prefer him above all else this world could offer. If God was going to have a people out of the chaos he foresaw Satan to bring upon the earth, then he needed a guarantee. His mercy was that guarantee that he would have a people. Jesus died for the whole world, not just those who are in the household of faith.
